| MMMMEEEEEOOOWWW...Halloween is awesome | Views: 259 |
...But ice cream for dinner and breakfast is even better.
Weekend was good. Had fun dressing and painting face up as a tiger to volunteer at the zoo Halloween event on Saturday. Got meowed at by passing cars. Even got a few gay cowboys in chaps to purr and paw in the air. Kids are cute but bratty.
Didn’t go into hospital on Sunday because I woke up in a room full of dirty laundry and was grossed out. Had ice cream for breakfast (i know it’s not healthy but it was one of those days), caught up on recorded TV shows, did 3 loads of laundry, put away summer clothes, took out fall clothes, and did 4 hours of work. I NEED FALL CLOTHES. All of my work clothes are black, blue, gray, or brown. My one pair of nice jeans now have holes in the knees. My work shoes all have broken heels.
Today I went to work at 8am, didn’t small talk with anyone, and am slowly but surely catching up on work. In the evening saw a therapist, liked her, but I really think i need to find someone in-network cuz $140 for a social worker is ridiculous, no matter how many years of experience. A friend did point out however that mental health is probably one thing that I should be willing to spend money on (maybe pay for mental health and stop shopping at mall). After therapy session went to hospital and watched Heroes with Kevin. Show is starting to look interesting again!
Good news for Kevin: He may go home tonight. AND he might only have stage 1 cancer (instead of stage 2) and not need chemo. But waiting to really celebrate (YAY! !) until this info is confirmed. Different doctors/nurses are saying different things. The hospital is SOOOO inefficient.
To summarize, things are looking up for Kevin and I am catching up on ME =) Now all i need to do is some discount shopping so i don’t look so disheveled and return phone calls. Thanks again for all your support guys.

glad to hear that things are feeling a little more manageable and also better in general! hehe. also glad you got to watch heroes together. ;)
yay! who doesn’t like ice cream for breakfast?? :) nothing better….unless it’s cold pizza. sounds like you’ve been having productive days. never underestimate the power of alone time. :)
